Documentation organization of export-import transactions
There are different types of letters of credit, allowing the exporter to transfer payment directly to the supplier (transferable letter of credit) or allowing the importer to deposit a coating on the letter of credit is not the full estimated for a long time shipments, but only on their part, followed by automatic renewal within the established aggregate limit and validity period (revolving letters of credit), as well as letters of credit with a "red clause", reserve (stand-by).
These forms of payment used in foreign trade both in pure form and in various combinations, particularly in the supply of goods on credit. However, the main forms of international payments in the export-import operations is a documentary credit (in some cases possibly a documentary collection), and the Russian participants of foreign economic activity should follow this practice.
The use of foreign documentary operations, not only for making payments, but also to reduce the risks in foreign trade - a new phenomenon in the business for the majority of Russian clients.
